Classic Bananas Foster

  • 6 Tbsp. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread
  • 3 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. dark rum or brandy (optional)
  • 4 medium bananas
  • Breyers® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream


  1. Melt I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread and brown sugar over medium-high heat in large skillet. Bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes. Carefully add rum and cook 1 minute. Stir in bananas and cook until heated through, 1 minute. Serve hot banana mixture over scoops of Ice Cream and top, if desired, with sweetened whipped cream.

NOTE: Recipe can be halved.

TIP: For homemade sweetened whipped cream, with electric mixer, beat 1 cup (1/2 pt.) whipping or heavy cream with 1 tablespoon firmly packed dark brown sugar just until stiff peaks form.
