Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked orzo pasta
  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 3 1/4 cups water
  • 6 ounces shiitake mushrooms or white mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves

Directions

  1. Melt Spread in 3-quart heavy saucepan over medium heat and cook garlic with orzo, stirring constantly, 2-1/2 minutes or until golden. Stir in Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix blended with water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 10 minutes. Add mushrooms; do not stir. Simmer covered 10 minutes. Stir in parsley. Turn into serving bowl. (Liquid will not be totally absorbed.) Let stand 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

VARIATION: For a Savory Orzo Casserole, increase water to 4 cups and use Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix.
